As a church body, we financially and prayerfully support a variety of

local and global mission efforts:

LOCAL:

Youth For Christ - This ministry, located right in Hawarden, reaches out to local teens and gives them an opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. The Teen Center is a safe and fun place for teens to hang out and be able to build healthy relationships with their peers as well the trusted staff and volunteers.

The Teen Center is open Thursdays from 3:30-6:00 p.m.

GLOBAL:

Compassion International - First Baptist sponsors three children/youth through Compassion International. This ministry gives children and youth around the globe the opportunity to have education and healthcare as well as ongoing discipleship through the support received each month. We also have the opportunity as a church to communicate to these children and youth through letters several times a year.

Operation Christmas Child -  Each year, we do a variety of fundraisers and offerings to raise money for Operation Christmas Child. This ministry delivers shoeboxes with a variety of items, from toys to toothbrushes, to children in need around the world. Each November, we have the opportunity to have a "shoebox packing party", and prayerfully send off roughly 100 shoeboxes to Operation Christmas Child, which in turn will be sent to children in need. Each shoebox also includes a booklet about salvation through Jesus Christ in their very own language.

Missionary Family through Pioneers -  We also have the privilege to financially and prayerfully support a family that is serving overseas reaching unreached people groups in the name of Jesus.
